Please consider this and help if your willing..

As you can tell, I am taking my Christmas Break again from GTA: SOL, There will be no releases till next year (2008), well after the next year.

Next year brings some new challenges for me and those who want to stick around with me on some new projects around we finish this one;

a, I have been working almost solo on the mod, apart from the support I have had from Andy on the EXE side of things since Feb, (Planning), March 2005 where I released the first mod (GTASA_LVC 0.1).

b. I need to build a team for the mod, because team work will get this mod finished, and this is taking to long to finish myself.

Smiley

I need 2 team runners setup for SA and.. VC with project leaders for the give tasks.

These tasks with be (VC)

1. I would like 3 model/skinners dudes to look at the map and fix/change/make better anything I haven't looked at, working with me to make the map better then it currently is, these changes will be passed onto the SA version.

Help join up some places on the map, like LC along side Mainland Liberty, finish those tunnels in shorevale, Adding other islands even for extra cities.

Make VC/SA bigger, I don't care, If you think your up to the challenge then join us.

2. I need a/or team vehicle specialist(s) to look at the range of vehicles and take this under his/their wing as shes/his own project.

I will not be overlooking this part of the mod, but my only request is to have a Mafia Sentinel and I would expert to see some vehicles that will be cool with GTA: SOL, with the right handling data and collisions.

3. I would like to call on the assist of some SCM coders, and I know we do have some lurking somewhere, so show your selfs. one the other hand storyline writers are easy to find, but it still does hurt for anyone else to jump on the bandwagon.

4. Package Installer, Limit Adjuster assistant for Andy.

5. It's been suggested that we replace the audio (Radio Stations), so if there in anyone out there who can help with this, this puppy is yours, just no copyrighted content..

6. There is bound to be something I haven't blog'ed on about here, so I am looking for a Co runner for the project, who will work with me and support the project, and take control when I am not around.  (more so on the SA version).

That is it.

If you want to help, Please post on this forum in the dev section or start up new topics.

I've been watching this project for a long time, cause I'm a big fan of the GTA Series and I see much potential in this mod.

So for this  I'd like to offer my help conserning a radio station. I'm not an experienced musician, so my idea is to take songs from newcomer bands or bands that distribute their music for free - only if the band gives their OK of course.

The type of that radio station would be hard rock / metal. So if you're okay with this idea, please tell me.

So long, theabyzz

I think this would be a good idea and I have looked into the parts of the .exe that govern the radio stations, and while adding a station might lead to plenty of bugs the first time around (not sure where all the code is that addresses the string arrays, I found a couple of iterators but there's probably more), I think it could be ironed out over time much in the same way the water problems are starting to get solved. Also, given that a close friend of mine is a drummer in an independent death metal band in Oakland, it will be easy to find music.

So basically yes, but it involves hacking, and there are hacks higher in the queue (water, paths, radar) that have to get finished first.

I'm just starting to learn some coding here and there along with how to make paths. I might be able to help in the near future.

P.S. I found out modeling is my weak point for now.  Shocked

@andy80586

Thx for your answer, of course at the current state of development other hacks are more important that's for sure. But when it comes to the point that new radio stations are possible, I'll gladly help adding one.

Looking forward to further updates, theabyzz!

Hey, Still need help? I can get alot of textures (+ I have 200+ allready). I can also programm in some programming languages such as C++ or Lua, so I could write you an installer or someting (I belive I could also help with the SCM even knowing that I haven't ever checked what's inside). Also about the radio stations, I could make a complete list of songs for all very diffrent radio stations. Since I'm a big fan oy this project I'm willing to help for free (I used to sell my textures and scripts). I would be more than happy to join in and help. Please E-mail me if you're interested (Email: Karvinas gmail.com)

Talk to me mate, I need someone who can try and play around with SCM.

Make an intro before games starts, this should hide all the popup objects, there is also a CJ model added, so you can play either as Tommy of CJ

http://www.gtastateofliberty.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=41.0;attach=3

If your a modeller and you know alot about modeling, Please have a look and see what you can find, oh and I've been having trouble prelighting these too.

man it's been a while.  Do you still need a main.scm coder?

I'm finishing up some stuff on my mod, and will have free time where there is minimal coding till we get maps in.  I remember coding in spawn places, but I never sent you the stuff, and I'm afraid I don't have that anymore, so will have to remake it.

Yes mate I do..  I've done the maps and will soon release beta 50, I will need you to code in the story line as it's almost done, I wont be working on beta 50 anymore after the releases as there should be no more bugs and the maps are looking good, as I'll be working on 50 States instead.
