GTA: State of Liberty Beta 51.9

This project; GTA: State of Liberty is a collection of cities from GTAIII, VC and SA, that brings all the GTA islands onto one stable map that has been every GTA player's dream.

Extra islands have or will be added in the style that R* might have created them.

This mod has no Peds or Vehicles just yet, so if you're not into empty maps then this mod is not for you.

This mod does have finished maps, but there are always ideas to add more in time for missions.

Why am I releasing this now? I would like help in testing the beta maps. If someone has found something I have over looked, I can fix it.

The final release date for this mod has been set back because of some issues getting everything together. I will keep all of you informed as to when that will be. This means this is not the last release as there are going to be plenty more to come.

A) Still awaiting missions to be added and coded into the SCM.
B) I will be working in Paths next.

Download mirrors: on the main page.

If you're having problems installing the mod, sometimes not all the files get overwritten by the installer.

You can try and unpack all the files into an empty folder first, then copy your AUDIO and Anims folder into the same empty folder and run it from there.

Remember to rename the folder to GTASOL51.9 or whatever works for you.

Moin people, there I am again Cheesy.
I was just bored and browsed ModDB, till I saw that there was an update and noticed it was GTA:SOL. I then went here to download the latest release and the other update in this topic, installed both.
I didn't do "hardcore-testing" yet, but wanted to look at first if Death Squad's tunnel from LC to VC is finally completed. So I picked the Sabre and went along the east cost of MLL northwards to reach the bridge to LC, but when I was at the dock buildings and drove up that "valley", the game crashed - this already happened to me with earlier releases, but I hoped this was fixed.
And yes, I'm that stupid to post it without a log from Delfi's DevConsole Cheesy. I'll catch that up at a later point.

I then restarted the game, taking a route around that dock buildings and drove onthe bridge - till it finally disappeared and the rest of LC didn't appear as well. I guess my VRAM (256mb) was overloaded. I hit the Windows button and resumed the game, what helped because the models appeared. I then drove to the entry of DS' tunnel, seeing it is locked with a barrier telling me it is not done yet. I'm not sure where I then drove to, but suddenly my screen told me it went to energy saving mode -> It didn't get any input signal anymore. Did my graphics card just turn off? At least I needed to power off the comp., I couldn't get it back working without doing that Cheesy.

But my real intend of posting here was a different. On the one hand congrats for the new release you just made, I know there's always much work in it.
On the other hand I decided that I might ask, whether you have anything that needs to be coded scm wise, I guess you do due to this topic Cheesy. If you really do, tell me what you exactly want such coders to do, e.g. code wise features, such as a car spawner, airplane/-port code to quickly travel from one city to an other or something else, or if you want to begin with missions.

Your main issue is computer RAM, and maybe spec.

The mod requires at least a 3.4Gig ram (32bit) machine.

I have 16Gig ram, but I am on a 64Bit machine, however a fast cpu helps too.

I need to redo the SCM from the ground up, because the one we have is very buggy.

New black scm needs to be made

Spawn locations added from the old.
New spawns for all the cities
If you die in MLL then respawn there.

We do have a storyline, just noone to code it.

OK, sounds good so far.

I thought the models would be loaded to the VRAM instead of the "regular ram" and this is only 1GB here Sad.

What is a black scm?

Hm, am I understanding you right?
You want the standard VC hud automatically to disappear to make space for the SA addon? Might only be possible with memory hacking from the scm, but if I can find out the memory address it might work.

You listed spawn locations, "New spawns for all the cities" and "If you die in MLL then respawn there" single, what exactly do you mean there if they aren't the same?

there is also a HUD for Vice City Stories that is available for Vice City... you could even use this instead of the San Andreas HUD if you wanted for the GTA State of Liberty mod
